‘Kolsi’ is made from earthen pot which is widely used across Bengal to keep water cool during summer. The entire body of the pot is wrapped in original jute thread. On the belly of the pot is painted a group of musicians with different instruments and is different postures. The shade is made from jute, the colour of which synchronizes with the body threading.
Since this model is handmade there can be variations between models, in the painting part.
